Israel is losing another war

October 19th, 2009 avi 4 comments

Strategic Pages has got it right: The Turkish attack on Israel is just another battle in the Information War Israel’s having, and Israel is losing this battle.

The quoted article, titled ‘Conspiracy Theory” show the way Turkey is fighting Israel hand-in-hand with Fatah and Hamas.  Turkey joins the claim that the Israeli policy is to put the Arabs down. Hence, Turkey’s betrayal of Israel is self evident.

Let’s leave the enemy aside, as it is not as interesting as Israel itself. How comes Israel is losing battle after battle? How comes Israel is cooperating with Turkey – we all know. This cooperation is part of the Oslo accord. How comes it still persists (well, at least until last week)? Is there no one in the Israeli leadership who can put these relations to an end just because the Oslo era has ended? What does the Likkud want from Zipi Livni where they are no better than her?

Next battle. In the past week, two unfortunate accidents took place at Hizballa HQ in South Lebanon, exposing the very fact that the enemy is violating the agrrement it signed on in 2006. So, Israel had – supposedly – made two nice moved. Why keep the scilence? Why not calling the UN to punish Hizballa? Why not notifying the UN that Israel is going to eradicate Hizballa altogether by, say, Nov-30-2009 (just a date, we can made it Dec-01 if you want)?

The plain answer, for the Israeli acceptance of battle loses and the way it treats its winnings, is that Israel deosn’t beleive it has the right to win battle, nor the right to free itself from the enslavement it is in.

I won’t squeeze the entire history of self hatred into a single post. But I would like to remind the leaders of Israel that Israel has never declared that Oslo was a terrible mistake and never said the Fatah as an enemy just like Hamas. Israel has never said that the UN agrrement signed at the end of the 2006 war is just a timeout, and Israel’s end is to wipe Hizballa from the face of the earth.

The Arab did say all this things (and more). Even in their darkest hours, just after their terrible loses in 1948 ans 1967, they said they aim at victory and they deserve a victory. This is why the Arabs are winning now.

This is why Israel is not.
